Vidyarthi Sahayyak Samiti
कै. म. कृ उर्फ मधुभाऊ चौधरी मुलींचे वसतिगृह
Work at Parimal & Pramod Chaudhari Foundation is driven by the unwavering belief that every child, no matter their background deserves access to quality education and a nurturing environment.
One of the key projects involved is providing support for the construction of Vidyarthi Sahayyak Samiti’s first girls’ hostel in Ahmednagar. This hostel can accommodate 70 girls from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, providing them with a safe and conducive environment to pursue their education and transform their lives. It has been named after Dr. Pramod Chaudhari’s father Lt. Krushnaji Chaudhari, whose legacy now carries forward in the form of hope and opportunity for these young women.
Sondara Gurukul (सोनदरा गुरुकुल )
Infrastructure support for Kitchen & Toilet Units
Sondara Gurukul is a boys’ residential school focused on value education and life skills training located in Domri village of Beed district. Our assistance contributed to the construction of a new kitchen unit and improved toilet and sanitation facilities for the school. With around 250 students residing at the Gurukul, these infrastructure improvements have had a direct and positive impact on the living conditions and overall well-being of the students. The foundation also contributes to the annual meal funds of the school, ensuring the students receive the nourishment and sustenance required for their well-being and health.
It is important to note that Sondara Gurukul is not just a place for academic learning but also a center for nurturing well-rounded individuals who embody values of compassion, unity, and ethical leadership. We believe that it is important to equip impressionable young minds with the tools and confidence to shape their own futures and create a more inclusive and equitable society.
Doorstep School Foundation
Project Phoenix on Fundamental Literacy & Numeracy
Over 50 million elementary school students in India have not acquired foundational literacy and numeracy, which includes a substantial number of children from underprivileged backgrounds.
In alignment with the National Education Policy’s emphasis on fundamental literacy, PPCF has extended support to Project Phoenix of DoorStep School Foundation.
While collaborating with Project Phoenix of DoorStep School Foundation we aim to achieve foundational literacy and numeracy for around 800 students in 6 centers in Pune’s slum areas. This program focuses on reaching out to parents who cannot afford primary education. The program strives to motivate parents and children in recognizing the value of education.
Pragat Shikshan Sanstha
Library Educators Course
PPCF decided to support this project, recognizing the intrinsic value of children’s literature as the 4th basic need, after food, shelter, and clothing. A specialized curriculum for a Library Educators course has been developed in Marathi by Pragat Shikshan Sanstha. It is designed for instructors working with children and books, such as librarians, educators, NGO workers and literacy professionals.
Here they learn how to design library spaces, curate diverse collections and conduct meaningful activities to instill the love for reading in children. This initiative caters to the diverse regions of Maharashtra and has been undertaken in collaboration with the Pragat Shikshan Sanstha of Phaltan.
